Question by sandy: Why did the blacks have to use a white person’s material at their own awards?
The BET awards are supposed to honor black people. They did a show in tribute to Whitney Houston, and had Jennifer Hudson sing “I Will Always Love You” to Whitney. This song, however, was written by a white woman, Dolly Parton. Why didn’t they pick a song written by a black person?

Btw, can anyone actually answer this question. I’ve asked it before, and though I got replies, none of them actually answered the question.
