AP AUSTIN (AP) — West Virginia senior Chelsea Carrier-Eades won the heptathlon at the Texas Relays on Thursday, becoming the first woman to win the event at the meet in consecutive years.
In the Texas Relays on Friday in a field of 18 high school pole vaulters invited to compete in front of college coaches from around the country.
Texas A&M defended its 4 x 800 title at the 85th Texas Relays in record fashion, breaking a 27-year-old meet record in the process with a winning time of 7:15.99 on Thursday evening at Myers Stadium. They eclipsed the mark of 7:16.
