Question by The Failsafe: Just wondering about NCAA Basketball Tournament eligibility?
North Dakota State University has earned its first ever bid to the NCAA Basketball tourney. On ESPN they said that 5 years ago their coach implemented a 5 year plan just so they could become eligible for the tourney this year. My question is what are the requirements for a school to be eligible for the Tourney and also what did North Dakota State do as a plan to become eligible for it this year.

You have to be a Division I school for eligibility.

You get an automatic bid if you win your conference.
