Landed at Dulles airport on April 17 on the back of a 747 after a fly-around of much of the region. It's now bound for the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

Show pulled thousands of Washingtonians out of their offices, vehicles and homes Tuesday morning as NASA's space shuttle Discovery blew into town atop a modified 747, the battered space veteran taking a final victory jaunt before landing.

Shuttle Discovery departed Kennedy Space Center atop a jumbo jet to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center, where it will become a museum relic.
