can uconn basketball student tickets be used by a non student?

Question by Melanie: can uconn basketball student tickets be used by a non student?
I bought two tickets for the women’s basketball games for me and my boyfriend who is not a uconn student. But the tickets say that valid ID is required. Does this mean he isn’t going to be able to come with me and use those tickets?
i know you dont have to be a student to go to the games, but i am a student and was able to purchase 2 student priced tickets. on the tickets it says valid id required, and they say student ticket on them. what i am wondering is if this means only students can even use these tickets.

You don’t have to be a student to go to a game. Students usually get discounts or get in for free.

The ID check is to make sure that you is really you, but they probably aren’t going to check. The only time I’ve ever had my ID checked was to buy drinks inside.
